Guided river tuition

Guided river fly fishing tuition involves spending a full or half day on a river or chalkstream, learning proven techniques for catching trout, grayling, pike and other species. Fly fishing lesson will also include:

• Safety on the river bank and in the water
• Etiquette and the environment
• Tackle advice and balancing your fishing outfit:
  rods, reels, lines, leaders, knots and flies
• What fish eat when: basic entomology, matching the hatch and choosing your fly
• Reading the water and finding the fish
• How weather conditions fish
• Handling fish: practicing safe catch and release
